More Adventures of King William

The weather is slowly starting to get better, so we spent part of Sunday at the Diamond Valley Model Railway with Nana & Pop. The train ride was great after waiting for about 45 mins - the ride took 20 mins and went through tunnels, over bridges through level crossings and is very well set up. At only $3 a ride, 600 tickets were sold in the first 2 hours and that was a slow day.

After the train ride William had his first ride on a pony. He was a bit reluctant at first but soon wanted to have a ride and the smile never left his face the whole time. Barney (the pony) sneezed and William thought that was fantastic and has been imitating him every time he tells someone about his ride.

Waiting excitedly for a train ride
A not so nice Sunday fishing at a trout farm.

William's Adventures

We have had so much sickness in the house this Winter. William has had 3 ear infections, croup, leg cramps, and many sleepless nights for all of us.

He is coming along well with his Chinese classes and said something to Paul on the weekend - which meant "What is this? and of course Paul had no idea what he was saying - lucky I sit in the back of the class and try to learn Chinese as well. He can almost count to ten in Chinese and knows a few words for fruits, vegetables, colours, etc. We have a three week break for end of term at the moment, so I need to make sure we get some practice in!!!

William has spent a bit of time with his cousins this month as we had mum's 75th birthday party and his cousin Melissa minded him on the weekend while Paul and I went to Elise's Deb Ball. She said he was awesome even though he ran around very excited showing Melissa all of this toys and didn't get to bed until 8.30pm and then went down very easily.

He is getting very cheeky and answering back a lot at the moment, so that can be challenging but saying that he is well behaved and loves doing all of his activities and gets very excited about each one. Every morning he says to me - What are we doing today Mumma? Not Mum or Mummy anymore but Mumma - don't know where he got that one from - but when I tell him what we are doing - the response is always - WOW - whose coming Mumma? and he means which friends is he going to see that day.

He spent a few hours at Daniel's while Paul and I went to a party. He stayed for dinner and they both put their PJ's on and ran around together. When Paul and I got there to pick him up Daniel and William were running around a central wall in the PJ's chasing each other. When we got him in the car - he said "I had a lovely day Mumma, and a special treat and pasta for dinner". He slept really well that night and keeps asking me when he is going to Daniel's again!
