August Antics

It has been a very cold August, we have all had the flu, Paul particularly bad taking 5 days off work, which is unheard of for him. No sympathy here though - lets get on with it!!

William is fast learning how to win us over. Just recently he has started with "I love you Mummy" or "I love you Daddy" followed by a cuddle and a request of sorts! One of us gives William his bath and as soon as he is out, he wants the other to dry and dress him, talk about wrapped around his little finger!!

We have been busy with Playgroup, Gymbaroo, swimming lessions, baking, painting and drawing and basically learning how to wind me up!! William is into everything, he is constantly on the move from the 5am wake-ups with "I waking Mummy"and "get up Daddy" to Thomas the tank track displays built by Paul, modified (or broken) constantly by William - then repaired by me on a daily basis!

He got a new kitchen mixer this month to add to his toaster and kettle, and has been busy cooking playdoe cakes which are taste tested by Mummy as he runs back to his kitchen adding pepper and other things as I think of them!! Most of the time he tells me they are "too hot" and runs off with them again.

On Monday mornings, we meet Emma and Daniel at the supermarket and the boys call out for each other through the aisles (poor shoppers) Daniel, Daniel where are you? Oh there he is to squeals of excitment, followed by squeals of excitement as they chase each other around the food court - no quite coffees here - Emma and I have to drag them away from each other with promises of playtime in the afternoon after lunch and a sleep.

William has been coming out with words that I didn't even know that he knew and funny phrases as he plays with his toys like - the ducks in the bath last night, it was "come on boys". Emma and I must say this because he said it again playing with paper fish, it is so funny!

The toys William now takes to bed with him include, soft bobby, hard bobby, thomas torch, soft rabbit, a telephone, and a glow stick - all of which we have to take out again when he falls asleep!!

Daddy still only catches small fish - Do I need a new teacher Uncle Tony?

At least he can catch craps for my bucket!

Oh No Mummy, wash my hands

Fireman Sam

Don't drop me Daddy

Will I let go again Daddy??

Flying a kite (William let go and Paul had to chase the kite across the field, it was VERY windy)

Painting pictures for Grandma & Grandpa

Cool Dude on the way to Gymbaroo

I love my Elmo Mummy!

Elmo was the toy of choice this particular morning (it seems to change quite regularly at the moment - poor Bobbie)

I'm waiting Mum (William was drumming his fingers on his knees waiting for me to open to gate)

Like Father Like Son

Ooops, sorry Jim, I broke the petrol cap off!

Waiting in the doctors - he thinks he knows how to use it!!
