Fun with Tony & Shiv in the Cotswolds

Tony & Shiv were very much in demand this weekend - from fishing to bubble blowing, to rough and tumble to throwing pebbles in the pond to sitting on Tony watching Madagascar to sausages for breakfast Oh and 5am starts - I think they have both gone back to work for a rest!!! but they did have loads of fun.

Breakfast in the sun - are we really in England!

There are no pebbles left on the path in our garden at the Cottage

Tony's fishing glasses - he was a little worried they would end up in the pond

Oh watch the jewels William!

Quiet time for all, watching a movie!

But not for too long - painting to be done in William's Wiggles book

Cotswold's Wildlife Park - another ride on Thomas

Every train William see's now is Thomas - I have lost count of the number of rides he has had while we have been here. I bought a guide book as we were going into the park which William wanted to read and sure enough he turned straight to the page with a picture of the train before we had even got through the gates!! Oh and we did get up close with some animals -alive and plastic - take a look.

Catching Fish with Uncle Tony

Bilbury Trout Farm in the Cotwolds- William and Tony caught a 2lb Trout much to William's excitement - he then fed the trout and a Japanese tourist videod William while his wife roared with laughter at William's excitement and screams as the fish jumped out of the water - Shioban was also falling about laughing at William's pure excitment. The farm usually doesn't let you fish on a weekday but made an exception for us - thank God!

Look at me Mum and Shivvy!

Full of excitment for his 2lb catch

All William kept saying was "I catched it", "I catched it" as he walked along carrying his trout!! he was very excited as usual

The Influence of The Scott Girls

Whilst in Brighton, William and I spent the night with Mark, Karen, Gemma and Katherine Scott - the girls had fun with William and as soon as William walked in their door and saw the "cooker" it was difficult to pull him away.

I've got Fairy Wings on Mummy - what will they do to me next?

I think my hair is too short for hair clips - playing dress ups with a live doll!

the very cheeky, very cute Scott Girls - Katherine (3) and Gemma (7), Oh and that's mark - their Dad!

Linton Zoo in Suffolk, London Zoo and the Science Museum

William and I had a full weekend recently starting on Thursday in Suffolk with Tina and Colin and visiting Linton Zoo before moving onto London to stay with Mark and the Birchmore's came down from Sheffield for the weekend.

Friday - cake with Mark, Saturday - London Zoo with the Birchmores and Sunday - the Science Museum where Joe Birchmore got very very excited about visiting Stephenson's Rocket - the first ever Steam engine. I thought he was going to burst with excitment, whilst William slept through the whole thing. Actually he seems to sleep through the first hour of every attraction we go to!
Another highlight was Joe's and Mark's involvement in Story Time about the invention of flying!

Really the 'only' thing to do when you visit Mark - and that is to east CAKE!!!

Dinner time in Mark's kitchen (the up and down stools were a huge hit!)

Linton Zoo in Suffolk with Tina. I think the jumping castle in the car park was the highlight for William - I had to bribe him out!!

Riding on Postman Pat - (we can't get past any of these rides quietly!!)

There is a large bird in this cage - but it is difficult to see! - watch your fingers William
